This substantial funding is earmarked to support the upskilling of Hoosiers for promising tech careers. The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) Foundation will be the beneficiary of this grant, aiding TechPoint. Indiana’s industry-led growth initiative, alongside partners Nextech and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS). Together, they plan to expand proven programming across the state and introduce new tech-focused career initiatives in central Indiana.

Kate Maloney, Executive Director of Infosys Foundation USA, expressed excitement about the organization’s expanded mission. She stated, “There are few sure bets in the world, but an investment in the education of Hoosiers is one we’re confident will yield invaluable results for Indiana.” This investment aligns with TechPoint’s Mission 41K initiative, aiming to integrate 41,000 new Hoosiers into the state’s workforce by 2030.
Paving New Pathways to Success
Ting Gootee, TechPoint’s President and CEO, highlighted the necessity of sustainable pathways from high school to career readiness. Emphasizing the need for adult apprenticeship programs in tech-related careers. “This funding will help us move from design to execution for new programming and expand Nextech’s proven training program,” said Gootee, expressing gratitude for the Foundation’s support.
Meeting the Demand for Tech-Educated Teachers
The grant will address a pressing issue in Indiana’s tech education landscape: the shortage of trained teachers in tech pathways. By enabling the training of 30 computer science and information technology teachers from across the state, Infosys Foundation USA’s support will bolster the quality of tech education in Indiana.
Empowering IPS High School Students
Infosys Springboard USA digital learning platforms will play a pivotal role in enriching IPS high school students’ tech education. The goal is to double participation in tech career pathways over the next two to three years, benefiting both students and educators district-wide.
Transforming Tech Education in Underserved Areas
Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, the Foundation’s support will extend to adult apprenticeships, particularly in underserved rural areas. This funding will help reduce the cost of upskilling and provide access to a vast array of courses, with over 8,000 offerings covering the latest technology trends and professional skills within the Infosys Springboard USA Digital Academy.
Impacting Thousands of Hoosiers
In sum, this initiative, backed by Infosys Foundation USA, is expected to benefit nearly 5,000 Hoosiers.
